Chairperson This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it Having come along for a try dive in 2001, I successfully completed Club Diver in autumn 2002 in the waters off my "second home" of Skye. I have since been diving as often as possible having now completed over 350 dives. I finally completed Dive Leader training in May 2008, and shocked everyone by then becoming a Dive Instructor in March 2009. I particularly enjoy scenic diving, and frequently leave scenes of debris behind after fish feeding sessions. Buddies often mistakenly think I am unconscious as am often found lying on the bottom gazing up at the surrounding seascape. I have dived in Scotland [including St Kilda], Cyprus, Tenerife and the Red Sea. Anne Buchan

Having initially trained on the South coast of England in 1987, my diving career took off when I joined Ellon SAC in 1994. The sight of guillemots flying around me 15m underwater off Collie Head, combined with corrective lenses in my mask convinced me that there was a lot more to see and do underwater.
An Advanced Diver / Advanced Instructor and Instructor Trainer my time underwater is largely split between photography (see www.finsnphotos.co.uk) and diver training. I am currently BSAC Area Coach for the Aberdeenshire area and have been involved in the Instructor Training scheme since 2000. This is my second spell as DO having also spent time as TO and general committee member before taking a rest in 2008. I’ve logged over 1100 dives, diving all year round in Scottish waters, as well as spending time underwater in Malta, Red Sea and The Maldives. Out of all these one of my most memorable dives was in 2008 when shore diving at Rosehearty my buddy & I were surrounded by a massive shoal of mackerel.

Iain Paul
Treasurer This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it Sarah has been diving since learning in Egypt in July 2000. She crossed over from the dark side in 2001 and joined ESAC. Sarah loves underwater critters big and small and nice viz! Since having two kids Sarah doesn't get in the water so much and has become a bit of a dive widow with Stuart off with 'the mistress' otherwise known as Hi-Viz. Sarah says she's hoping to get wet more often now. Sarah is 'nearly' a dive leader and Assistant Instructor. Sarah Duncan
Secretary This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it I have dived in a number of exotic places around the globe over the years, but it's still a thrill to get out around the Moray coast in summer with the people in this club. The area is a great resource that relatively few people know exist, and it's a privilege to be able to help more people find that out. Dave Murdoch
Boat & Equipment Officer This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it Involved in diving since 1999 with approx. Over 300 dives in Scotland, the Red Sea and the Maldives. Following a try dive with the club, Stuart completed PADI OW and AOW in the Red Sea and was introduced to relative cold water of the west coast of Scotland before formally joining the club and crossing over to the BSAC qualification scheme. He achieved Dive Leader in June 2004 and is working on his instructor status. As a mechanic by trade the reason for his involvement as equipment officer is obvious! Interests:- scenic diving particularly the sealife. Stuart Duncan
Training/Records Officer This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it I started diving shortly after my honeymoon in 2005. I am currently a PADI AOW with Deep & Nitrox. After relocating to Aberdeen in March 2008, I decided to join a local club. I shopped around, until I found Ellon SAC. I joined the club in summer 2009. I am now continuing my training with BSAC, and working towards my Sport Diver. I have ambitions to go onto Dive Leader and maybe even Advanced Diver. I mostly dive in the UK, whenever and wherever I can. I volunteered myself a post on the committee because I wanted to give something back to Ellon SAC – for them making me and Paul feel so welcome and introducing us to some great diving! Angela Robson
Social & Expeditions Officer This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it Ian joined us from the PADI side. He has dived mainly in warm waters, but was finally initiated in the chilly North Sea in 2007. Ian learned to dive with BSAC back in the late 70’s. After a gap of some 10 years Ian picked up the old fins again and started diving more regularly and his interests now lie in Marine biology and photography. He has recently switched to U/W video where he can either be seen chasing the large well known pelagics or lying on the sea bed watching the various forms of  macro life. He has  been fortunate enough to dive in many interesting areas of the world including the Caribbean Sea, Saudi Arabia and the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean, Andaman Sea in Malaysia, South China Seas and Sulu Sea in the Philippines before finally discovering the delights of the North Sea!  But he still hasn't done the quarry...........

New Member Representative This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it Before most of the club were born, I signed up to learn to dive in Bolton, however a hit and run accident forced me to delay the event. I went for a try dive in Sharm in 2007 and was blown away by the coral reefs.  I finally came along to Ellon for a try dive in September 2009 and became the oldest trainee in the club.  though this no longer applies as I have now qualified as Ocean Diver.

Ordinary Member This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it I joined the club after coming along for a Try Dive in December 2007 after getting bored in Physics and asking about how to get involved in SCUBA Diving. When I arrived, I immediately started to make my way through everything that I possibly could. At present i am working my way towards Sports Diver and hope to see all the underwater life that i possibly can in the near future.
